Get onstage with Franklin Footlight Theatre! This spring, they will present Puffs (Two Act Edition); or, Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic by Matt Cox. The play follows the events of a particular seven years when one well-known boy wizard attended a well-known magic school and fought against forces-of-evil-that-must-not-be-named. But this isn’t that boy’s story: it’s the story of the Puffs, who happened to be there too.
A hilarious, fast-paced romp through a familiar magical landscape, Puffs is “a tale for anyone who has never been destined to save the world.” Auditions are open to adults and high school-aged teens and will be held January 27 and 30 at 7:00pm at Franklin High School. Performances are April 3-6 at the Franklin Middle School.
Next, Footlight will hold auditions for their summer musical, Rock of Ages, on May 27 and 29. This big, brash jukebox musical is a celebration of the rock scene of the 80’s, featuring songs like “We Built This City,” “I Wanna Rock,” and “Don’t Stop Believin’.” Auditions are open to anyone sixteen and older. Performances are August 13-17 at Tilton School’s Hamilton Hall.
Footlight has been bringing community theatre to Franklin since 1995. To learn more about both productions and register to audition, visit www.franklintheatre.org/audition-info
